What We Believe

Here at C3 Church We Believe…

We believe there is only one living and true God, perfect, infinite and eternal.  We believe that God exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit.

We Believe that Jesus is the Son of God. We believe Jesus to be the 2nd person of the triune God, making Him God.  Through Jesus, God has provided a bridge between God and His creation.  We believe Jesus died on the cross as a perfect sacrifice for the sins of the world.  Jesus rose from the dead and then returned to heaven. Jesus promises His followers that they too will rise from the dead to eternal life.

Holy Spirit

The Bible teaches that the Holy Spirit instructs, comforts, guides, sanctifies, and empowers all those who are the children of God.  We believe that the Holy Spirit is the 3rd person of triune God, making Him God.

The Bible

We believe that God has shared His Purpose and Plan for the world through the Bible.  The Bible is the perfect rule and final authority in all matters pertaining to the Christians Faith.  We believe that the Bible is the authentic Word of God.

The Church

We believe that God established the Church and its mission is to share the Good News with all people.  The Church is to worship God and to promote God’s justice, righteousness, kindness, and peace.

We believe that all Christians are called to discover their Spiritual Gifts and to serve in active ministry within and out of the local Church.

We support mission partners both local and abroad. We choose our mission partners at the top of each year following a season of prayer, utilizing the following criteria as a foundation for selection.

1. We strongly support Christ centered missions who point to Jesus - this is our biblical example. Acts of kindness and generosity, while of some value, are insufficient in themselves without a knowledge of Jesus. Special attention is given to those ministries possessing a 501c3 designation.

2. We are extremely wary of Christian vacations dressed up as missions. Churches in America spend millions of dollars on air travel, sending people to countries where they do not know the language or culture to do work already being accomplished, and who themselves are ill prepared to articulate and preach the gospel - the very point of biblical missionary work.

3. While we do support some local mission organizations who may not meet all of the above criteria, we do so for the purpose of training potential missionaries and supporting our local community by showing the love of Christ to our neighbors.

Our Commitment

At C3, We are committed to a clear and accurate communication of God’s word.  We are committed to prayer.  We believe that lost people matter to God.  We emphasize God’s unconditional love and forgiveness through Jesus Christ.  We are committed to help people grow spiritually.  Value the importance of healthy relationships among the followers of Jesus Christ.  Most importantly, we strive to adapt our ministry to be culturally relevant while remaining committed to the core beliefs of what scripture teaches.

We believe in order to accomplish all that is stated above we need to model and live by the The Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37-40) and The Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20 19) both given to us by our Savior and God, Jesus Christ.

C3 Church History

We were founded in the early 1980's as "Community Congregational Church" and originally located in North Naples. During the '80's, the church had grown to a considerable size, but did little to disciple young people or adhere to a biblical model and as a result, began declining. Fortunately, God had a plan and sent all the right people to put it in place. Starting with Pastor Wayne Neller - an international church planter who in over two decades had planted over 170 churches. Pastor Wayne implemented biblical programs and principles in the church, and we began to see positive growth. We changed our name to "Christ Centered Church" (C3 for short) in order to reflect the idea that we are now a church driven by and centered in Christ, rather than the ideas and motives of men - Christ is the head of the church, who drives us the body, not the other way around.

Leadership Structure

We adhere to a biblical leadership structure, while using terminology that people in our modern culture can understand. Our "Overseer" functions much like a biblical overseer did, guiding the church, offering advice from experience and accountability - sometimes from afar. Our Lead Pastor functions as an Elder did in the New Testament, doing the day to day work of counseling, guiding the staff and teaching. We believe in discipleship and are actively building up others in their leadership abilities and gifting’s. We have an advisory board for further accountability that deals with most of the financial matters and administration of the church.
